Our Editorial Policy

Independence

We publish independent guides and comparisons. We do not operate the experiences described on this website. Commercial relationships do not decide what we say about inclusions, extras, limitations or unclear details. See the affiliate disclosure.

Selection criteria

We cover packages that have a clear product listing and a distinct purpose for travellers. For each package we look at:

• Inclusions and what costs extra.
• Pickup coverage and how consistently the listing describes it.
• Duration from pickup to return.
• Additional costs such as quad bikes, buggies, private vehicles and supplements.
• The cancellation policy shown for the specific option.
• Checked sources: the product listing and public operator and tourism information.

We do not rank packages by sales or popularity, because reliable public sales figures are not available.

How we handle prices

• We show a starting price only when we have checked it on the source listing, together with its currency.
• Prices are shown in the currency in which we recorded them. We do not convert them with an approximate exchange rate.
• A starting price applies to the lowest-priced option. It is not the price of every option and does not include extras.
• If we can no longer confirm a price, we remove the number and show "Check availability" instead.
• We do not claim the lowest price or promise that prices stay the same. Prices vary by option and availability. Check the final total before payment.

How we handle uncertain details

• When a listing contradicts itself, we describe the range. For example, a quad session listed as both 30 minutes and about 25 minutes is described as approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
• When a detail depends on the option, we write "Check selected option" rather than "Yes".
• For listings that group several tours from different providers, we do not apply one option's inclusions to the whole group.
• We do not repeat promotional claims we cannot verify.
• We do not present tours in other emirates or mountain areas as standard Dubai dune safaris.

Recommendations

Our recommendations are written in our own editorial voice and always give a reason. They are based on comparing listings and public information. We do not claim to have taken every tour we describe, and we do not publish invented reviews, ratings, expert profiles or awards.

Health and safety information

We describe activities in general terms, such as the fact that dune bashing is more intense than a calm nature drive. We do not give medical advice or a single minimum age for all packages. Rules on pregnancy, children, quad driver age, mobility and food allergies are set by each operator and should be confirmed with them.

Photos on this website show desert scenes, food and activities in general. Unless a caption says otherwise, images do not depict the specific camp, vehicle, operator or tour named next to them.

Updates and corrections

We review package details when listings change and when readers report differences. To report an error, email book@safaridubai.org with the page address and what you found on the listing. When we can confirm a correction, we update the page and any comparison tables and structured data that use the same information.
