How to read the comparison
Starting price. The lowest price shown for the entry option of each listing. It is not the price of every option, and it does not include extras. All prices are shown in US dollars (USD), the currency in which we recorded them. Your booking may display another currency.
Duration. The total time from pickup to return as listed. Traffic and pickup order can make the day longer.
Dinner. Whether a meal at the camp is part of the package. Morning tours generally do not include dinner, and breakfast varies.
Pickup. "Shared transfer" means you ride with other guests. "From Dubai" means pickup from other emirates is not part of the base package. "Check address" means the listing is unclear about coverage.
Quad bike. "Optional, paid extra" means you can usually add a session at a price. "Included" gives the stated duration. Neither means an open desert ride unless that is named.
Camel ride. "Short ride" means a brief ride at the camp. Check whether the camel activity is a short camp ride or a longer trek. These should not be compared as identical experiences.
Check selected option. The detail depends on the option or provider. We show this instead of guessing.
Best match by situation
First visit, one evening available
The sunset safari with BBQ covers dune bashing, sandboarding, a short camel ride and dinner. From USD 28.75. Add a quad session at the camp only if you really want one.
Riding is the priority
The quad bike safari includes a session of approximately 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the selected option. From USD 74.88. It does not include an open desert ride or buggies.
A special occasion
The Al Khayma Camp safari puts the camp programme and dinner first. From USD 79.00. Check whether your option includes quad riding.
Busy evenings or young children
A morning safari is shorter and leaves the evening free. Pick an option that lists the activities you want and check that breakfast is included if you need it.
Family or private group
Read the private and luxury guide. A private vehicle does not automatically mean a private dinner table or an exclusive camp. Check each part of the package separately.
Comparing the real total
The starting price is only the first line of the bill. To compare fairly, list what you actually want and price it in each package:
- Start with the option price for your group size and date.
- Add any quad or buggy sessions you plan to buy.
- Add supplements for private vehicles or pickup outside the standard zone.
- Check whether drinks you care about are included at the camp.
- Compare the totals, not the headline prices.
A package with a higher starting price and more included can work out cheaper than a basic package with several add-ons. The reverse is also true if you will not use what is included.
